Interesting and unconventional shot - I like both but this second one
more. The darker skies in the upper left somewhate balance the dark
patch of trees in the lower right, and there is less of a sense of being
pulled out of the frame. But the tension and brooding implicit in the
off balanced composition is still there.

I know the figure is now darker (I did dodge him a fair bit, as I did
in the original) but I kind of like it this way. Think this works a
bit better now.
