note that a 17" 1080p display (1920x1080) is about 130 pixels per inch (ppi); my laptop (15" MacBook Pro "hi-res", 1680x1050 ppi) has pixels about the same size, and even with my reading glasses, it can be hard to read that display; i often move windows onto my 24" display (which is 94 ppi) to make them easier to read
so if you want a display that's easier to read, consider the pixel size; you may not like 1920x1080 at the 17" size
