Yes, some speculation I am reading centers on the Snapseed app that we
have discussed here from time to time. If it has 9 million users at $5
a pop, that's some good income and an Android version was demo'd
earlier this year. (Android being Google's now, it seems that they
could leverage or incorporate Snapseed into a Google phone (or any
phone using the Android operating system). Google is also likely to
incorporate Snapseed image editing into their Google+ product
(competing, but way behind Facebook/Instagram).

I think our biggest concerns should be: What happens to their
standalone products for Lightroom/Photoshop/Aperture. Will development
on them continue?

I expect so. They're the most popular set of add-ons for Photoshop/Lightroom. I'd guess worst case scenario, Google sells the NIK filters to Adobe & keeps Snapseed for itself.
