A comment on the new Canon, plucked from DPReview:
-The 6D is proof that Canon doesn't have the R&D to keep up with the
competition. -Canon simply went to its parts bin and threw a bunch of newer and
older tech together to make this camera.
-They have the gall to give us YET again that ancient AF???
-And then they price it at the same price as the D600, even with lower pixel
count???
The 6D is nothing but a hastily thrown together desperate attempt by an
arrogant company that didn't see the D600 coming.
It seems that others also have a love/hate relationship with their toy makers.
I've seen (but not read) threads comparing the AF between the K-5 and
K-5II and between the K-5IIs (no AA filter)and a 24 megapixel camera
with an AA filter... even though the camera itself isn't available for
anyone to do the comparison yet. In fact, I've seen far stupider
threads there. Some people are way beyond pixel-peeping, they've
started peeping at pixels that don't even exist yet.
That's why I rarely post there. Too easy to get sucked into the
stupidity vortex.
I blame Kennyboy.

Don't lose heart, they might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthly search.
