What is it with people and looking for a "one size fits all" answer. Asking whether or not to use a protective filter is like asking whether or not to use a zoom lens. There are cases where going one way will lead to problems, there are also cases where going the other way will lead to problems, and the vast majority of the time it doesn't make much difference. The UV filter on my lens is kind of like wearing a helmet when I ride my bicycle. I don't always wear a helmet, and I've only actually used a bike helmet once. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
