Just as in everything else there are lagers, and there are lagers. Of the
Dutch lagers there are only two generally available around here. The most
over rated and the most under rated. Heineken (well, it is better than Bud)
and Grolsch. IMNSHO, Grolsch is the best lager in the world. The
connoisseurs say it's Pilsner Urquell, but that is a little too sweet and
fruity for my taste.

Stouts are, well, too stout for me, except occasionally. And then, I do know
enough not to drink them cold where all you can taste is the bitterness.
There are innumerable good beers out there that I like to drink
occasionally, none of them are what you probably drank in college.

Ciao,
Graywolf
