Unless you're really limited by the autofocus of the K-5 (I'm not) I'd
guess you're probably right and the IIs won't make much sense as an
upgrade. Given that the K-5 gets the best image quality of all the
cameras using that Sony 16-megapixel sensor, I'd expect that the
anti-aliasing filter it has isn't particularly strong and a lot of
people are going to be disappointed and the difference in resolution.

On the other hand, if you're looking to add a second camera body to
your equipment line-up, the K-5IIs is a no-brainer. If you encounter
circumstances in which moire is an issue you can just use your
standard K-5. Best of both worlds.
