No one buy's ink refills for low cost printers. It's cheaper to trash the printer and buy a new one.

Sadly it really is. in fact even if you like the printer you're using it's often cheaper to find a printer that uses the same inkset that your's uses and take the inks and trash the new printer...

This plan of Kodak's might make sense if they were offering better than OEM inksets for /other/ manufactures printers for bargain prices.
