I left an AF-280T sitting out on the wall around the Merry-Go-Round at Pullen Park in Raleigh, NC. Can't remember how far I got before realizing I didn't have it with me, but it was still there when I got back.
I also left a Bogen 3021 w/488-RC2 ball head in one of the restrooms at the NC Zoo in Asheboro. It was closed by the time I got home and realized what I'd done, but when I called the next day, one of the staff had collected it up while they were cleaning & I was able to get it back the next Saturday. Had to use a flimsy old Slik tripod for the week - the ones they sold at K-mart.
