It is one of twelve windows, each representing an event from the liturgical calendar. <http://georges.posterous.com/stained-glass-window-st-bridgets-church> I've returned to the church several times to photograph the windows, altars, and many, many details. A couple of additional trips may be necessary, but most of the photography is complete. Now, the effort of turning the photos into finished work begins. I've started making a few prints. This is has been a very very interesting project. The windows, due to their locations, the lighting and a few other things have been a learning experience. Before the project I hadn't given much thought to white balance for the windows. A bit of Tungsten light reflecting from the frames on the inside, natural light from the outside. I returned a couple of times to get a photo of each window with similar outside light. Daylight WB has resulted in the best color rendition. For the photos, the window colors look best on a clear day with no direct sunlight. It's interesting how small changes in exposure effected the color and detail in the smaller window pieces. Glad I bracketed the exposures.
