I believe you are right John. The S6 is what I originally targeted for exactly what you mentioned. If I'm not mistaken, the Seagull 20th Anniversary model I purchased is a solid wood version, with a high gloss finish. One poster said that it was much more than a S6. I'm hopeful that is the case! I've also heard that the maple/spruce is "brighter" than the regular S6, which may or may not be a good thing. Some think it lacks on the bass end, but that it sounds good when amplified. (That's a ways down the road for me). We'll see!
