Tom, do you mean that it pops more then the usual ads on a page? I'm using NS 4.7 - haven't "upgraded" because of all the bad things I keep hearing about 6.x. Still, web site designers always assume that we all have the latest browers (including the designers of mail-archive.com, where I read PDML). So eventually I'll have to abandon 4.7.
When I installed 4.7 it would download an ad every time I checked my mail. I e-mailed Netscape to complain, and to my surprise someone answered and told me how to turn that off. If you are getting extra ads, perhaps there's a way to turn them off. Please let us know. I find MS softwhere intolerably annoying and avoid it as much as possible. And the problem is getting worse.
