I've been drawing up a wishlist of features that I'd like to see in a 
DSLR/EVIL.  One of them is wi-fi, with an open standard for tethering, 
uploading files and controlling strobes.  

This would mean that you could use a smart phone as a remote display/control, 
if for example you were holding your camera over your head on a monopod, or 
getting a macro shot with the camera in a very awkward place.
