Thanks, Bob - I appreciate your critique. It was a crisp fall day and
the corn was more that ready to be harvested (though the drought had a
hand in that.) It was shot a wide angle - at the 5mm end of the
standard zoom. The shot is an HDR composite of 3 bracketed shots. (I
tried to tread lightly on the HDR toning).
I bough the K10D from Pro Camera Repair some years ago -- I don't use it
as much as I should. They will convert an APS C SLR for $200. see -

I do wind up chimping a lot with the IR - the meter only meters visible
light and it does not always correspond with the IR spectrum so I wind
up making some pretty extreme shifts to the exposure, often by several
stops.

Mark,
Great light and clouds in that shot and the sun, while visible, is not
too crazy.
Looks like a wide angle shot from the phone wires and the much smaller
telephone poles.
And the sun at mid-left is perfect with the road leading toward it and
corn field to the right.
Looks like a crisp fall day.
The Lincoln's tomb in IR is one of the more pleasing IR shots I've seen.
Not so much,'LET ME HIT YOU IN THE FACE WITH THIS", but a bit more
well mannered.
Is the IR conversion very expensive and do you do a lot of chimping
with the shots?

Taken with a Pentax Q and 02 Normal Zoom.
Below it is another shot that I processed earlier this month Lincoln's
Tomb in Springfield IL, IR converted K-10D and kit lens.
