One item not discussed is shooting aluminum objects. My compromise solution (making use of 2 sections in "Light Science and Magic") works well for steel objects. The lights are diffused at about 30 degrees on both sides, and there is a bottom light as well as a switchable back panel light. But when it comes to aluminum, things work out differently. The tone and reflections are a bit more challenging. http://www.flickr.com/photos/55001392@N08/8389199147/in/photostream
How would you light something like this? (It's a Nissan direct drum.) -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
