Good point. Another thing you could try doing is holding something black on one side of the piece where you would "see it in the reflection". Aluminum tends to take on the color of the light, so if one side is darker, then the aluminum will look darker. My first reaction when I saw it was that it looked fine to me. I would say that it is worth spending a little time experimenting to see how different things affect it, but this looks fine to me as it is.
