NO SHOES? BRRR! Nice shots, Stan. Would the mounted lens have allowed some ice
pattern and frost close ups?

Subject: GESO: Sunrise over the river

So there I am, still in robe and slippers, just starting on my first cup of
coffee, and I look out of my office window. The rising sun is creating golden
sparkles on the weeds covered with hoar frost. A brief pause to consider my
options, and then I went with a series of compromises: Throw on jeans, shirt,
and jacket, but forego shoes and gloves. Drop a fresh battery in the camera,
but go with the lens that happens to be mounted. Take another sip of coffee,
but leave the cup behind on the desk. And head outside into the 18°F morning
for some quick shots. Here are three of the results . . .
