congratulations Dave. i do a bit of running and cycling but not a good
swimmer which is what has stopped me from attempting half triathlons
here :)

totally get the part about completing, not competing. i just finished
(about a week back) a 400 km BRM on my mtb (with slicks). took a little
more than 24 hours (about 19.3 hours saddle time) but at the end, the
feelings were more or less the same: i was glad i could finish and i
was glad i survived :)

vaguely thinking of paris-brest-paris 2015 :)
