I had a similar even happen a year ago. I was sitting with my camera on some steps and IIRC I had a tamron 60-300 sp mounted on my k-7. Some lady saw me and thought I had a gun and called in. Soon enough a police officer stopped their car and started staring at me. When the female officer realized I only had a camera she explained why she stopped. We both got a good chuckle.
