My experiment using an HDTV as a monitor for editing photos is not
working out to my satisfaction. But, that's why you experiment ... to
find out what happens.
Anyway, I'm expecting to buy a new monitor soon. I'm initially looking
at ViewSonic VP2770 or Dell U3011, but will probably widen the field
before committing myself.
One thing I've run into in on-line reviews is a suggestion that large
IPS monitors have inconsistent brightness across the screen which
affects their suitability to be calibrated.
Lack of suitability for calibration is the very thing that's not working
for me using the HDTV.
So, anyone have specific experience with these two monitors or general
experience with calibrating large IPS monitors? Other thoughts?
