that might mitigate your risks somewhat, but i wouldn't trust any free service, so make sure you use a service that eases the process of getting your content back "out", and consider how much you are willing to put into something that could disappear tomorrow

ignoring that big philosophical question, the most solid answer is to own a domain, set up a content management system, and get a hosting contract; you then have complete control, and can move it to another host if needed; downside: it's a fussy process with lots of choices
