Hi Zos I've never had issues with dust inside lenses. I've been using a 30+year old SMC M f2.8 28mm on my Fuji X-Pro. The lens was my dad's and it would have had extensive use in its early days, but has been in a cupboard with front and rear caps on for 20 of its years. It's as clean as the day it was bought.
