While many on this list are terribly excited by the prospect of a full frame 
pentax that might not cost much over $2,000, I'd wager that the vast majority 
of people would boggle at that price tag.  Likewise, while there are certainly 
advantages to full frame at focal lengths below 40mm, the greater depth of 
field one gets from the shorter focal length means that *most people* would 
lose fewer shots to poor focus.

You did, however, hit the nail on the head with registration distance. The 
camera that would do *most people*, the most good would be a mirrorless camera 
with a sensor somewhere between APS and 4/3 in size.

But, like most of the wankers who think that they are good enough photographers 
to make use of the image quality available with full frame, I'll be buying a 
full frame Pentax about as soon as they are available and I can pretend to 
afford one.
