You can make the 2880 work fine with PS CS. I did so for quite some time. Unfortunately, I can't recall all the PS CS print dialogue options, but it boils down to making sure that you've chosen PhotoShop to manage color and turned off the printer's color management. I believe that PS CS will also let you select an icc profile for the printer paper you're using. Of course it's all for naught if your monitor isn't calibrated.
