bill When the *ist D was released (September 2003) there were no DA lenses. The first DA lens, the 16-45, appeared early in 2004. The *ist D was sold with no lens, or with the FAJ 18-35. So having few full-frame lenses would not deter Pentax from releasing a full-framer. And there are enough full-frame lenses to appeal to prime shooters.
