After work I went for a photo walk with my new lens. I specifically chose to *only* bring the DA 35 macro. I took a bunch of generic wildflower shots. Nothing spectacular, but it was fun to try out the new glass. Then just to give me my comeuppance, a fairly large bird lands in a tree nearly directly across the creek from me, and patiently sat there while I walked as close as I could to it, and snapped away with the DA35. Had I brought my 18-250, I could have filled my frame with it.
Oh well. I massively cropped the pictures and posted them anyways to ask folks for help identifying it. My guess is that it's a juvenile heron. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
