Check around with local "cat rescue" organizations. A lot of times, even if they won't take in feral adult cats, but they participate in a "capture, vacinate, neuter & release" programs.

It may not help much with the existing feral cat population, but it helps slow the rate at which they're replaced, which does seem to help over time.

Not surprised. Apparently there are so many "extra" cats in the area
that the city pound issued a notice, a year or so ago,?stating they
would except no more cats.
There are a number of toms that constantly?harass our neutered
female, so I called to learn if?that were still the case. The answer
(NO!!)?sounded so definite that I'll not be?asking them again. ;-0
I suspect the local mice aren't pleased either.
