On the SCSI's: The scanner will work as fast as it can with a cheap, basic SCSI
card. For HD's you'd want the Ultra fast/wide, which is much more expensive.
On a printer the DPI isn't the positioning resolution of the print head. Unless
the printer was sitting on something that was vibrating quite a bit I wouldn't
worry about it. The cabinet that my printer sits on sways a bit while printing,
and I've never noticed anything out of registration.
