I know that's it's working for you and a few others here, that's great
and I try to check out posts there but the many people that I have
discussed it with generally think it's a cacophony of ideas, difficult
to navigate and post, outright confusing and simply is no competition
to Facebook (even though there is a lot to dislike about FB also).

I don't really think of it as FB competition, except in the time
department; I'd rather spend my social media allotment of hours there,
where I can shape my experience the way I want.
But to each his own. I greatly dislike FB except for a couple of groups,
but I kind of have to be there, so I feed from outside and try not to
involve myself in the culture.
