That scene is very reminiscent of many of the smaller highveld towns around 
Jo'burg. The shabby paintwork, the convoluted electrical wiring & periodic 
alterations to the building itself. It probably hasn't been re-painted since 
1943! The lighting actually emphasises the dinginess of the whole scene. 
Another fine shot of yester-year.
