One option you didn't mention: with the newer iPhones, and I am sure with other 
smart phones as well, you can use your phone as a wireless hub. In other words, 
your computer does a wireless link to your phone and piggybacks on your phone's 
wireless data links. This may be feasible if you have the phone, with good 
service, with a data plan that allows high volumes of data.
