It won't be a camera problem; the camera doesn't do anything with
the lens ID it receives except stuff it into the image EXIF data.

Sigma in the past were notorious for not actually accquiring a
real lens ID code from Pentax, but just masquerading as something
else with approximately the same focal length/aperture, etc. 

If they have stopped doing this, and have a unique code for this
lens, then I'd expect the next Lightroom update to recognise the
code and know all about the lens; Adobe will get the information
from Pentax.  If Sigma are still playing silly games, though, it's
anybody's guess when (if ever) Lightroom will know what to display.
