<smug> Ubuntu asks for my account password, purely to establish that I
have the authority to install the app. on that machine.  So far, I
have installed an OS, browser, mail client, and about fifteen other
apps without anyone knowing my financial status, never mind asking for
potential access.  Apple, and Microsoft, (not to mention Adobe) can
chew on my gigantic shorts for sustenance.</smug>
