The fence is keeping them out. This fence is protecting my neighbor's shrubs and perennial flowers. My neighbor on the other side has a 12 foot high fence around his vegetable garden to keep out the deer, and 2x8 boards at the bottom to keep the rabbits from digging under the fence. Since the garden is across his driveway from his water connections, I let him hook up to my irrigation system in return for a share of the produce. Works quite well!
