No - Adjusted exposure in camera via histogram.

Not really - almost full frame as captured.

You should really try Nik Dfine on stuff like this. Works quite well
at removing stubborn noise.

The K20 isn't _that_ bad at 800 ISO. Mine sure isn't. That noise looks
like a background of Ramen noodles. Did you shoot straight to JPEG?
