Thank you, Bruce!

I am a bit of a contrast junkie, I admit. I almost always use the medium contrast curve preset in LR.

I actually have CS2 installed (downloaded it when Adobe put all those licenses up on their server for the old apps), but have yet to use it on a single photo. I'm pretty much lost trying to use the tools, having no clue as to what adjustments are available, what those adjustments do, or much of anything else. There are just so many features that I'm at a loss as to where to even begin. I keep telling myself that one of these days, I'm going to sit down and learn how to use it, but it's like drinking from the proverbial fire hose.

I'll see if I can figure out how to do what you're talking about, though. That would be a huge help in a lot of my photos.

Thanks again!

That's a real winner, Walt. It's all good: light, expression,
background. My only comment is there's perhaps a tad too much overall
contrast, but that's more personal taste.

Were you doing fill with the tiny softbox? If so that may help explain
sharpness at 1/25th. The flash would help stop motion in the face.

(I have a pretty much sure-fire retouch for shiny skin using
Photoshop. Very soft Clone-stamp brush, Blend Mode Darken, Opacity
100%, Flow 5-10%. Sample nearby normal skin and paint over shiny
places. It's fast, easy and invisible.)

Here's a color shot of Amaya (the young lady from my last PESO). As a
capture of the subject, I really like it. The background, though, I'm not
sure of.

(Didn't realize the shutter speed until I just now looked it up to post the
info. Yikes!)

Thoughts?
