Hi Eric,

I haven't had this problem myself, but maybe one of the solutions
discussed here would be helpful to you:
http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-changing-modules-lightroom.html
http://forums.adobe.com/message/5439306

In most cases, this error is related to the permissions or corrupted
preferences file.
I don't how that relates to your Java-related actions.

Vague to me. Maybe not so to someone here?

Background: A couple days ago I uninstalled Java. First time I started
Lightroom afterwards I learned that it requires Java. I've since reinstalled
Java, but now I get this error message.

If anyone has a clue what might be going on it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
