Andy, Guess that depends on what the earth is going for these days. You can find some 35-105 3.5 Pentax A series lenses for around $150 US or maybe a 45-125 F4 for under $100 US. There are quite a few good short zooms made by Vivitar(Series 1 are the best), and Tamron, oh and I guess Tokina. You can find any of those for $150 US or less. Would a 70-200 be too much. There are some good 70-200 F4 lenses for $130 or less. If you are looking at the faster glass, chances are you will have a good lens. Any 2.8 - 4 type lens will give good results, most of the time.
