As of 2:00am this morning, I have it again.
My old hot water heater sprang a leak late Saturday afternoon. Best I
can figure, it was about 16 years old. I managed to get a replacement
Sunday evening & spent the day Monday installing it.
when ours went (about 5 years ago) we sprang for an externally mounted tankless
heater; it cost much more, but regardless of the long term ROI, and the fact
that hot water never runs out, the closet we gained was worth the price in our
small house; didn't self-install — it took a little over a week to arrange, but
being two blocks from a city rec center it was manageable
