Exactly. 

So much melodrama ... Pentax as an independent company was short lived, but 
Ricoh has money and is positioned to make the best of the brand. Just because 
they won't tell all'y'all what their plans are is a silly reason for people to 
be getting all weepy and melodramatic about it. 

Personally, I have good feelings about Ricoh and their custodianship of Pentax. 
Even though over the years I've been a Nikon/Leica/Olympus user for far more of 
my time than I was a Pentax user, I think Ricoh is a very interesting company 
that quietly produces very very good camera products and are a much better 
custodian than Hoya ever might have been—they didn't even want the camera 
division at all, they wanted the lucrative medical products division.
