Ann, I browsed through a number of prior shots in that gallery and I would have to say that my faded comment only applies to this specific one. Which is to say, a matter of taste.
As far as I know you tend not to do much (any?) post adjustments like contrast or black/white level set, and the lighting varies dramatically in your scenes so some--like this one--are just going to have a low contrast.
