Ann, I browsed through a number of prior shots in that gallery and I
would have to say that my faded comment only applies to this specific

Glad to hear - would not wanted it to have been smugmug.

As far as I know you tend not to do much (any?) post adjustments like
contrast or black/white level set, and the lighting varies
dramatically in your scenes so some--like this one--are just going to
have a low contrast.

I do some minor post adjustments - a bit of cropping, some cloding to get rid of the kind of stuff I would have spotted out on a film print. some exposure adjustments when I first open raw - but i'm happiest when none of it is neccessary... I do almost always trim just the tiniest bit
off the edges following Mark Roberts lead for the proof of ownership
backup, as it were.

And there ain't nothin' wrong with that. :-)

again, it looks just the way I like it on my monitor...
Bruce and Jack (especially) would you look at the other stuff in that
gallery and tell me if you feel the same? I'm asking because I'm
using 'legacy' smugmug and wonder if there is something about the settings
on smugmug that is causing this.

I'll put the glads on facebook, too (not with a link, with a direct upload
on a lower res) Be curious to see a comparison.

I'm on Windoze xp and using firefox 23

also , could just be a matter of taste.

Thanks for input

Quite beautiful, Ann. A little faded-looking for me.
