Last year I bought my MZ-S at McBain Camera in Edmonton, and nothing was said about any extended warranty. After reading a post a few weeks ago about an extended warranty, I called Pentax Canada in Vancouver, and was told the only extended warranties here are from dealers, such as McBain's lifetime warranty.
I immediately called McBain's and spoke to the same salesman I bought it from, who told me it was too late to buy the extended warranty, as it can only be bought within 30 days of the purchase of the camera. Apparently the lifetime warranty would cost around $100cdn for the MZ-S. When I asked why it wasn't offered when I bought the camera, he just said he forgot to mention it, and apologized. I'll think of him when it needs repairs in ten or fifteen years. Pat White - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
