Last night, I experimented with my IR K-5 in video mode. I hung my array of IREDs off the bottom for illumination, and shot some folks blues dancing, in a very dimly lit room. I apologize for it being posted on facebook, but google was being a bitch about my posting to my old youtube account, and forcing me to link it to a google+ account. The video starts of with minimal IR enhancement, then I replaced the battery with one that took a charge. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151961785324673&l=5012041782680633384
To get an idea of the light levels, here are some stills posted to fluidr to see the exif data: ISO 20,000, f/1.8, 1/20Sec http://www.fluidr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157635556024344/ If nothing else, I need to something to get the light up and further out of the way, Maybe mount it on a light stand rather than hanging it off the bottom of the camera. Then there are questions like focusing and such. I.e., having a competent videographer. -- Larry Colen [email protected] http://red4est.com/lrc -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
