Last night, I experimented with my IR K-5 in video mode. I hung
my array of IREDs off the bottom for illumination, and shot some
folks blues dancing, in a very dimly lit room. I apologize for
it being posted on facebook, but google was being a bitch about
my posting to my old youtube account, and forcing me to link
it to a google+ account.
The video starts of with minimal IR enhancement, then I replaced the
battery with one that took a charge.

To get an idea of the light levels, here are some stills posted
to fluidr to see the exif data: ISO 20,000, f/1.8, 1/20Sec

If nothing else, I need to something to get the light up and further
out of the way, Maybe mount it on a light stand rather than
hanging it off the bottom of the camera.
Then there are questions like focusing and such. I.e., having a
competent videographer.

You could use something like a flash bracket. I found one of these in
the discount bin at one of my local independent cameras stores for $20.
