My source tells me 20-24mp sensor, no FF (yet), and due October. Better af,

20-24mp, I'm in. More is always better AFAIAC.
No FF? No big surprise. I would still like the optical viewfinder that
goes along with FF.
Better AF? I'm definitely in. I have one of the K5s that has ghetto AF,
and there doesn't seem to be much to be done abut it. My little Fuji
seems to have nice AF, and they also have a 56mm f/1.2 on the near horizon.
Faster sync speed isn't directly a big deal for me, but the minimum
shutter duration does get a bit faster as well.
Tethering is a massive issue for me, and they wouldn't confirm that for me,
but did allude to it.
And it's really stupid that we don't have official tethering. The
cameras support it. I suspect Hoya was too cheap to pay for the licensing.
And now I've already said way too much and could get into big trouble, so
going back into hiding again. X
The Genie is out of the bottle and can never be put back in. But thanks
for the info. I will be in the market for one, but I won't be an early
adapter this time. The Fuji lens comes first, and possibly second. A new
Pentax might have to wait a year. And all because Pentax has never
gotten around to making a fast standard lens for the APS-C format. This
is a really inexplicable oversight.
