I don't have to read a story about that, I've had it happen myself. The magic
is lost on most , excepting when some see their image emerging from the dusky
blue Impossible Project opacifier. Then the print materializes as a special
thing into their consciousness.

A second Polaroid Spectra SE Onyx arrived yesterday. This is the fifth Polaroid
camera given to me as a gift. It woke up from long slumber with my usual
Polaroid Resurrection Technique (fit empty film pack with a good battery and
let the camera cycle a few times by pressing the shutter, fit a dummy film pack
with a good battery and a load of junk film prints to cycle the picker
mechanism and be sure the feed and rollers are working smoothly, then and only
then risk a fresh $25 pack of film ...).

Again, it is in perfect working order after being Reawakened. I shot five
exposures out of the pack. I don't know why for sure, but seeing prints pop out
of the camera gives me a funny thrill. I really enjoy the experience of
shooting with these cameras and seeing my photos in print just a few minutes
later. The photos have none of today's hypersharp super-real look. They're
small, they're soft, the colors are muted and not very accurate, but the tones
and aesthetic they present just sings to my eye.

Funny stuff.
