I've seen all the hullabaloo now. Ming Thein's comments closely resemble my 
thoughts:

In short, looks like interesting technology, likely a decent enough camera, but 
lots of ambiguity in direction, development, and a piecemeal approach to "what 
to develop and for what purpose" (particularly with respect to the lens line) 
to my eye. 

It will be interesting to see how these Sonys develop.
