You'd be surprised as to how much light these little things put out - quite impressive. I got an LED video light about 4 years ago. Metal body with dimmer switch, powered by main camera battery, never had a problem with it and used every day. <http://www.adorama.com/SWTS2010.html> Mine is quite narrow field of coverage, but I wanted more intensity in a smaller area - even okay for filling in shadows outside in daylight.
