Please don't lecture me about Unix or it's history. You tout Unix as an example of a utopian set of programs that are simple and good design, then go on to say that they suffer from the exact same thing you don't like about cameras.
I'm curious why you put so much stock into what reviewers are saying, Does the product work for you? Are the video options actively hindering you taking pictures? If not, what's the big deal?
